The type of prayer concerning God for something to happen.
Here are two examples: if you ask God for your favorite sports team to win or for a family member to overcome a disease. The point of this prayer is that the outcome will have one of two options will or won’t happen. The team will win, or the organization will lose, the family member will die, or the family member will live.
It’s always one, or the other will happen.
The issue is, God already knows which team will win and which organization will lose. God already knows when a family member will live or die.
It’s all part of his plan.
So when you pray to God, ask him about his plan for you. If it’s God’s plan, then it’s going to happen because it is the final and best method. It’s pointless to ask for something otherwise because it’s going to happen regardless of your prayer. If it’s not part of God’s plan, it will not happen; it's pointless to pray and ask like this because it’s not going to happen. This kind of prayer is not only hurting your cause, but it's also not helping. When you’re praying for one thing to happen that’s already going to happen, the prayer is ineffective. This means that the inconceivable outcomes of this type of worship are entirely unaffected by the prayer itself. This lies the paradox, whether it’s God’s plan or not. What you’re praying for will have no effect; in the end, if you have a personal relationship that you know God can change his plan, then there are no contradictions to what you believe.
Special recognition
to my daughter, who helped me piece this together to a more transparent standpoint
because I started writing this with garbled thoughts. Reading at first gives me headaches. With her
intellect and an expert in constructive reasoning – it all comes easy. Thank
you.
